MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY

IAW: Government Code Title 4, Subchapter B. Sec. 434.033 VCSOAT Bylaws, Article VII, Section I, dtd March 30, 2010

SECTION I: Each active Veterans County Service Officer and/or Assistant Veterans County Service Officer appointed in such a capacity by any county within the jurisdiction of this Association and recognized as a certified Veterans County Service Officer by the Texas Veterans Commission.

IAW: VCSOAT Constitution, Article IV, Section I - II, dtd March 30, 2010

SECTION I: (Officers), shall, upon payment of dues ($20.00) as prescribed in the Bylaws, be eligible for active membership in this Association and as such member, shall be entitled to hold office in the Association and vote on all questions requiring a vote of the membership.

Any member of this Association in good standing at the time of retirement as an active Veterans County Service Officer, may continue to be a member of this Association by paying the annual dues as prescribed in the Bylaws and will be entitled to all of the privileges and benefits thereof, as provided for in the Constitution and Bylaws.

SECTION II: Upon the recommendation of an active member of the Association, Associate Membership may be extended to persons who actively support veterans and active duty service members in veterans’ benefits and who are not members of any anti-government group or subversive group. Annual dues for associate members shall be $25.00. Associate members shall have no voting rights or other benefits afforded to full members.

How do I become a New Member?

You can join by completing the online form at the bottom of this page. You can pay by check or online. You may instead complete the form here and mail your dues to the address below.

How to pay by check:

Make out your check to VCSOAT and mail along with a printed copy of your invoice. To get a copy of your invoice log into the website using the instructions above. In the Message box on the bottom right side of the screen, click on Membership renewal pending. Select View/ Pay Invoice. Print that page and mail with your check to the address below.

How to pay online:

In the Message box on the right side of the screen, click on Membership renewal pending. Select View/ Pay Invoice. Click on the button for Pay Online. Once you select that you will be directed to the PayPal website. If you have a PayPal Account just login into your account and it will allow you to pay your dues. If you do not have a PayPal Account select “Check out as a guest” you will be directed to a screen where you can enter a credit card. PayPal is a secure and Trusted website with a great reputation for processing online payments privately and securely.
